Raven did the flinging for her. He had wished to have Seen her arrival, since it would have given him the chance to prepare himself. Make him look less sickly, more aware of the world, less frail. Weak.
“You disappeared on me, chica-dee, I was so worried.” He whispered into her neck as he hugged her as tight as he could. “You left, and Siren has disapeared. So many things have changed!” He pulled away and kissed her on the cheek. She was truthfully the only friend he had, besides Siren. “Come inside? I’ll show you my new rooms, you’d love them. I’ve moved all my glassware here, and the room I have is so full of sunshine it’s almost to the point of blinding people.”
When he hugged her it took only a few seconds before she returned it with equal ferocity. She went on her tiptoes fingers curling a little tighter as she laughed, but it was more of a hollow sound. “Sorry amigo.” She murmured, feeling a little breathless from the unexpected kindness. Raven wasn’t someone she had been expecting to see, but she was glad he had been here anyhow.
“Really?” Sunshine made a face at the kiss, but was then smiling again. “Sure thing darlin’.” Without thinking about it she slipped an arm around his side so they could get to walking. “Gotta admit, Ah wasn’t really expectin’ this sorta welcomin’ party.” She didn’t elaborate, instead smiling at his enthusiasm. “Sounds pretty nice ta me. When did y’all move here?”
Raven walked her slowly to his room, cursing anything that was related to stairs mentally, chattering along the way. “Well I hit a um…illness/bad spot for a while and needed to be near healers. We have a remarkable one here, did you know that? She’s absolutely marvelous. Anyway I decided to move here. Which was a good things…I’ve ‘evolved’ as Magneto calls it.” He blushed a bit. “It’s slightly embarassing and like going through puberty all over again which isn’t quite fair. I’m a seer, now. I can see the future sometimes, and that comes in handy.” He said a bit breathlessly as they finally reached his room door.
Throwing it wide, he invited her in. “Come, you’re now being welcomed to the Oracle of Delphi…er, the Brotherhood’s, chambers!”
